Juice Up Your Sex Life: Super Foods that are Super Sexy

If you're familiar with our social media output, you know that one of our fav mantras is you are what you eat, and with Valentine’s Day around the corner, we thought we would let you in on a secret - it’s possible to eat your way to a hotter, sexier, sweeter tasting you!

Our Mango Blast Smoothie should really be called Love Potion #9 because it contains all the right ingredients to send your sex life through the roof. And if you want to turn up the heat even hotter, add Maca - a wonder root for your libido!

Mangoes: If any fruit can be considered sexy it is the mango! Not only does it look exotic, but it's featured in the Kama Sutra. Called the "Love fruit," delicious Mango has aphrodisiac qualities,  increases virility in men and the Vitamin E, which is abundantly present in mangoes, helps to regulate sex hormones and boosts sex drive.

Pineapples: This fruit has an enzyme called bromelain, which increases sex drive and can also give you more sexual energy. As an added benefit, anecdotal evidence (just google it friends) suggest that pineapple makes you taste sweeter!

Kiwi:  Loaded with vitamin C (twice the amount of oranges) to help increase both libido and fertility. Two kiwis supply you with 150 percent of the vitamin C you need each day. Not only that but Kiwis help to thin your blood, and a healthy flow of blood throughout the body also improves your sex life, ensuring firmer erections and more powerful orgasms.

Kale: Increases your sex drive by balancing hormone levels, which in turn gives you more energy. The high vitamin C levels in kale help the body to absorb iron, form blood cells, and assist the metabolism of the adrenal gland, all of which contributes to better sexual performance. In addition, the iron in kale provides oxygen-rich blood to carry the nutrients and hormones that you need to your sex organs for pleasure and endurance.

And lastly but certainly the sexiest, Maca Root *, has been used for centuries to enhance fertility and sex drive. The secret to maca’s effect on sexual arousal is that it enhances endocrine function, regulating hormonal levels, allowing us to feel our vitality, soothe symptoms of menopause, and even improve semen production. As if you needed more reasons to reach for this root, maca is also considered an adaptogen - meaning it increases the bodies defence systems against physical and mental decline and disease. In studies, maca was as successful as a pharmaceutical drug for treating sexual dysfunction and increasing libido and sexual fulfillment in both men and women! [1]

You truly are what you eat, so eat organic, eat whole foods, and eat your way to a better sex life!

With love,

Rejuice xo
