A for Antioxidant rich food!
Antioxidants are compounds that protect cells from harmful free radicals that cause sickness and/or disease. These include the nutrient antioxidants, vitamins A, C and E, and the minerals copper, zinc and selenium. Other dietary food compounds, such as the phytochemicals in plants, are believed to have greater antioxidant effects than vitamins or minerals. These are called the non-nutrient antioxidants and include phytochemicals, such as lycopenes in tomatoes and anthocyanins found in cranberries. A diet high in antioxidants boosts the immune system, fighting oxidative stress. Foods high in antioxidants include berries, pecans, kale, beans, red cabbage, spinach, artichokes, dark chocolate, mangoes, parsley, broccoli, and beets!

Pump Up the Vitamin C
Vitamin C is a well-known vitamin that strengthens the immune system by boosting the number of white blood cells in the body. These cells are known for keeping viruses at bay. You can start to work on this by making sure you regularly consume foods high in vitamin C. Citrus fruits, like oranges, grapefruits, lemons, as well as kiwi, papayas, red bell peppers, broccoli, and other dark leafy greens are all exceptional sources.
Common sense dictates that to keep your system strong eat a wide variety of fruits and vegetables. Fresh pressed citrus juices offer up boat loads of Vitamin C as do pure cold pressed vegetable juices. Smoothies provide you with not only a host of vitamins but the fibre you need to keep your digestive tract strong. Get plenty of rest. Spend time in nature if you can. Even if it just lifting your face to the sun!
Health begins in the gut, so be smart – ditch the sugars and processed foods; eat clean, pesticide free organic whole foods. Your body will thank you.
