How to Maximize your Cleanse

Preparing for, and knowing what to expect on your cleanse will give you the best chance of maximizing its benefits and enjoying the process. 
 
BEFORE your Cleanse

To ensure you get the best results from your cleanse, we suggest modifying your diet up to a week before you begin by eliminating:

  • Caffeine
  • Alcohol
  • Nicotine
  • Refined Sugar
  • Wheat
  • Processed Foods

In place of these items, we suggest consuming 80% raw foods, including fresh fruit and vegetables and an ample amount of water to keep you hydrated. To introduce the juices to your system before cleansing, you can also drink two to four cold pressed juices during the day and enjoy a dinner consisting of salad, steamed vegetables and a serving of lean protein.

DURING your Cleanse
Drinking a juice every two to three hours ensures that you flood your body with rich nutrition throughout the day.

Water is extremely important during your cleanse as it flushes your organs and blood system of toxins. Juices drench your body with live nutrients, encouraging your cells to release toxins and allowing the water to carry them away.

As you become a more experienced cleanser, you will learn how your body responds best. The process of periodic cleansing will become easier over time and your results will enhance every time you cleanse.

For the best results during your cleanse:

  • Drink all of your daily cold-pressed juices in the order as directed
  • Drink your bodyweight in ounces of water daily
  • Drink one juice every 2½ to 3 hours
  • Rest when you’re tired
  • Exercise lightly to promote blood circulation; try yoga, deep breathing and gentle cardio
  • Exfoliate your skin, take saunas and hot baths

What to expect on your Cleanse:

Day 1 to 3
First off, thank yourself for giving your body this time to rest and heal. You may feel a little tired or hungry. These are normal reactions when you cut your calorie intake. You may also feel weak and a little irritable. It will take some time for your body to adjust, so be patient. Dry brushing will help improve circulation, open your pores, and help with the cleansing process. Light physical activity, such as walking or yoga, will also help ease any symptoms you may experience. Be kind and gentle with yourself. Let your friends and family know you are on a cleanse. The first few days is when your body and mind are most sensitive to changes and having support always helps.

Day 4 to 5
You made it this far and now your body is in the groove! Your hunger will begin to subside, but you may still feel sensitive as the toxins are still being flushed from your system. To compliment and accelerate your healing take hot showers, steams, and continue your dry brushing. You will definitely notice increased energy, a kind of light heartedness, and a general overall feeling of vitality!

Day 6
Amazing! You are now deep into the purification of your body and mind. The organic juice you are consuming is making your skin glow. Your body is feeling an overall enhanced sense of well-being and health. Your energy levels are high as the last of the toxins leave your body and you your immune system is strengthened.

Day 7
If you are able to go a full week you will have really given your digestive system a complete rest, allowing your body to expend its energy towards healing and increasing the efficacy of every major system and organ in your body. You may find yourself feeling focused and clear, calm and energized, with a heightened connection to your mind, body, and spirit.

AFTER your Cleanse
Coming off your cleanse properly is important. The first day after a cold pressed juice cleanse, drink juices and smoothies, eat soups and consume lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. At this point, your body will feel deeply rejuvenated—take this new experience to build momentum toward a healthier lifestyle.
