Joanna & Rejuice!

Rejuice! Nutrition was founded by Joanna Barcessat. Joanna worked many years as a personal trainer, spinning and fitness instructor before discovering the joys of juicing while studying Naturopathy. She opened Rejuice! in 2011 as the first juice bar in the city. Tragically, Joanna lost her life in a biking accident on Nov. 2, 2021.

Our Methods
Our fresh produce is cold pressed and immediately bottled to ensure a 72 hour shelf life. The tremendous pressure exerted by the press gently and completely extracts the natural fruit sugars, vitamins, trace minerals, enzymes, and other vital elements. All the while, minimal amounts of friction heat, or oxidation occur. The Cold Press makes for one vitamin packed, super juice! We are not cutting corners - the process of cold pressing is labor intensive but it’s well worth it!

Why Cold-Pressed?
This process yields 5 times more vitamins, minerals, and enzymes than most conventional juicers. There’s no better quality, better tasting, nor nutrient-rich way to extract juice from produce! Most juice bars use a conventional “centrifugal juicer,” a high-speed spinning blade that separates the juice from the pulp. This process creates a lot of friction, which in turn creates high heat, and oxidation, destroying vital nutrients and living enzymes.

Nothing is processed, pasteurized or refined! No HPP (High Pressured Pasteurization) that extends the shelf life to more than 30 days. Only FRESH, RAW, LIVING JUICE in every bottle!
